TECHNOGROUP operates from sites in Welshpool and Oswestry where a wide range of facilities and highly experienced staff are located.
Office Facilities
Our sites are home to well established R&D facilities, a large sales office, in-house design team using the latest CAD technology and a dedicated planning team who oversee everything from scheduling, rail possessions and contract reviews to the management of framework agreements.
Test Room
We continually invest in new technology and are unusual in having comprehensive testing facilities onsite, where we can accurately test loading and security compliance.
Laser and Plasma Cutting
High specification equipment includes plasma cutters and Mazak super turbo laser cutters which ensure superior high speed cutting, quality and accuracy. With this level of capability our in-house design team and skilled programming operatives can create any shape or design in mild or stainless steel from 1mm up to 12.5mm thick.
Guillotining and Automated Punch Presses
At the heart of our operation is a fully equipped steel fabrication unit including guillotines, presses and automated punch presses. Our ability to cut, punch and fold steel in-house means we are in total control of manufacturing quality.
Welding, Fabricating
Precision welding and fabrication are essential in guaranteeing product strength and durability. Our experienced team of welders and fabricators bring together component parts with skill, ensuring that each and every product which leaves our premises is of the highest quality.
Shot Blasting
An essential process which ensures pre-galvanised products are clean and able to take DG100 and DG140 Duragalv galvanised finishes meeting British Standards requirements in all regions of the UK. Shot blasting is also used extensively for stainless steel cleaning and various stainless steel finishes.
Galvanising
Our galvanising process reaches international standards above BS-EN 1461:1999 (EN ISO 1460) and BS7543 and BS-EN 845, while our ability to vary zinc thickness means our products are suited to a wide range of applications throughout the UK and Europe. As a Group we pioneered the use of post galvanised products including the introduction of DURAGALV, a range of coatings for all environments. Our in-house galvanising plant is integral to this giving us consistent quality and total control and over the finished product.
The hot dip galvanising process has been proven to ensure total corrosion protection to all surfaces and edges, and only then can optimal product performance and longevity be achieved. Our products comply with all aspects of the ADAS (Agricultural Development and Advisory Service) millennium map for above and in ground applications. This gives Specifiers and Consultant Engineers a clear picture of the level of corrosion that can be expected in any given area of the UK and Republic of Ireland. The DURAGALV range of zinc coatings enables us to provide the most cost effective corrosion protection with predictable product lifespan.
Finishing
The attention to detail and care taken in both the design and manufacture of a product can be lost without good finishing. We have a highly experienced finishing department that takes great care to ensure that every product that leaves our factories is exactly to the Customers requirements.
Quality Control
We demand a consistently high level of quality and put our products through our extensive quality control checks to ensure they meet all accreditations and standards including LPCB (Security and Fire Approvals), ISO9001 and ISO1400 and British Standards.
